Chili Cook-off
Nets $4000 for
Habitat for Humanity
The “It Takes a Village” chili cook-off held Sunday, October 2nd netted just over $4,000 to be used to place one energy-efficient item into each of the 36 affordable townhomes in Habitat’s Parrotts Ferry Village.
“Due to the matching grant from the California Association of REALTOR®’s Housing Affordability Fund we raised a total of $8,000”. stated TCAR president, Robin Rowland of Golden Hills Help-U-Sell, “I’d like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the REALTOR®’s who supported this event. It was a lot of fun and a great success.”
The event showcased seven chilies to taste from contestants Black Oak Casino, 2 from Nuncy’s Tuesday Group, Skyline Place, Union Bank and our own Century 21 Wildwood and Coldwell Banker Mother Lode Real Estate.
